Everything I said about the Chinese leotards, I take back.
The U.S. leos are so much worse. Did they let Shawn and Nastia design the leotards and foist them on the other girls? Sweet Jesus. And the names for them: "Hott?"
It's like the 2004 Athens leo, except worse. Anybody else slightly disturbed by the deep mesh in the middle, like an attempt at cleavage?
Do they have any more Pepto-Bismol they used to dye the fabric? Because I'm going to need it.
This could have been cute in another color, oh maybe in a color that represents America???? WTF is up with the pink and purple crap lately?

My opinion: Too busy. Too much going on. The first one I do like more than the red/gold/blue one. And I like the cheongsam design of it, too. But at least it's something different from the egg and tomato ones they've been wearing for so long.

Yikes. That's going to haunt her for years to come.
But that brings me to a little rant. Why are there sleeveless leotards in competition? Just like you wouldn't wear jeans and a t-shirt to an awards ceremony or banquet, one shouldn't wear an informal-like leotard that is worn every day in practice and training to major competitions. Especially that nasty leotard that Vanessa Ferrari wore two years running at Worlds. You can last a week wearing long-sleeved leotards. It's not like you wear them all the time. They're like the formal wear of gymnastics.
Now if they can stop making them so ugly. Those fake flesh Christian Moreau leotards need to be burned.
